Our associates support the brands with a wide range of services, including Finance, Legal, Sustainability, Commercial, Digital and E-commerce, Technology and more.<br><br><strong><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Primary Purpose:</span></strong><br><br><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">The primary purpose of this position is to lead the US Capital Asset and Lease accounting operations, ensuring the functions are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures, along with the accuracy and timeliness of work on a period and quarterly basis. </span><br><br><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Decisions directly impact the strategic planning and direction of projects/functional organization. </span><br><br><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">This role is responsible for analyzing and recording the contractual commitments related to leases, real estate and equipment and the acquisition, depreciation, and disposition of capital assets. This includes ensuring that appropriate procedures and controls are established, communicated, and functioning in accordance with internal/external audit and controls. </span><br><br><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">This role provides direction and mentoring and ensures efficient departmental processes are in place, establishing departmental goals, supporting corporate goals/initiatives, and setting priorities to ensure yearly goals are met. Our core office locations include Carlisle, PA. </span></strong><br><br><strong><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\"> </span></strong><br><br><strong><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Duties and Responsibilities:</span></strong><br><ul><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Oversight and direction for Accounting Team Members. Lead and direct all activities as it relates to areas of functional responsibility. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Lead/Direct the close process to ensure all activities for area of responsibility are completed accurately and on time, and that they all have proper documentation. This includes: All lease accounting activity related to Right of Use assets and Lease Liabilities ($7B in assets/$8B in liabilities), Fixed asset related activity (approx. $1.5B in additions per year), various complex real estate transactions, asset acquisitions, impairments, divestments, etc. Ensure that all accounting reconciliations are completed and ensure any known/unknown variances reported. Balance subsidiary systems to GL and provide reporting as needed to the business. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Direct the activities of team to ensure timely reporting and accurate information. Ensure the maintenance of adequate controls to avoid errors and establish and monitor teams' performance metrics. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Build, maintain and develop mutually beneficial partnerships with multiple</span><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"> </span><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\"> internal and external customers, including Brands, GSO, FP&A, Finance Operations, Leasing and Asset Management, Investment Planning, 3rd party vendors, suppliers, tenants, landlords, Genpact and/or other agencies. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Lead meetings to ensure an in-depth understanding of all internal and external customer needs and requirements regarding financial and management information. Involve others as appropriate to resolve outstanding business partner issues/concerns. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Act as a primary partner with FP&A and Investment planning leaders to ensure that Global and local capital reporting and working capital metrics are accurately reported for all brands. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Direct the budgeting process related to capital assets, lease accounting, and real estate related estimates. Activities involve high level of judgement and estimation. Monitor periodic variances from annual operating budget for various accounts. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Direct the implementation and maintenance of policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accounting activity is in accordance with established Service Level agreements, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and other corporate, industry, and accounting guidelines.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Lead the team in the coordination of internal and external audit requirements. Perform and sign off on Risk & Controls departmental assessments. Ensure that internal and external audit requests are completed timely and accurately. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Drive successful performance of offshore team to ensure completion of all applicable activities on timely basis in compliance with SLAs through collaboration and appropriate communication and monitoring of metrics. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Direct, coach and provide development and training opportunities for direct and functional team members as appropriate to learn and understand the connection between all auxiliary processes and systems. Promote an environment of continuous improvement with a focus on simplification. </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Analyze productivity trends and implement actions to decrease costs while increasing productivity.
